The first step in the application process is to complete the entire application and submit it to your school’s guidance department. Be sure to submit it as early as possible to allow time to compile all the related information and letters of recommendation before the deadline.

The application process for all students will be closed on December 2, 2024. Late applications will not be considered in the initial review period and will be added directly to the waitlist

Directions:

  1. Use the link above to assess the Agriscience Admissions Application as a .pdf.  Please complete the student portions of the application which consist of everything except the final two pages.

  2. Request your letters of recommendation from a teacher and personal references that will be completed and sent to your guidance counselor. Digital and paper copies will both be accepted. If you choose to email reference pages directly, the following links have been made available.

Personal Recommendation

  1. Submit the application to your guidance counselor for them to review and submit other required documents.

In addition, to a completed application, your guidance counselor will include a complete transcript from your current school as well as any standardized testing scores and disciplinary records that are available at the time of the application.

A committee reviews applications at the end of the second marking period in January. The committee bases its decisions on several areas including the applicant’s demonstrated interest in agriculture (employment or volunteer work), and community involvement (4-H, youth groups, and other similar activities).  They also take into consideration grades, attendance, behavior and the ability of Nonnewaug High School to provide any required special services.

We appreciate your interest in the Ellis Clark Regional Agriscience and Technology Program.

Sincerely,

Lee McMillan, Director of Agriscience
Ellis Clark Regional Agriscience and Technology Program
